All you need to know before you buy!
How do I know sleep training will help?
If you are unsure if sleep training is needed to help solve your sleep issue first click here to learn how sleep training helps and why I always recommend starting with sleep training if your little dreamer is struggling to sleep for any reason. After reading that explanation, if your little one is falling asleep completely independent but still struggling, then these sleep plans may not help. Instead I would check out my Custom Packages where I will personally help you dig deeper to solve your concern. Otherwise, sleep training is the first step and these plans will help you solve your problem.
Which sleep training method should I choose?
Choosing the right sleep training method is important. I outline the methods I use in my plans and help you decide which one is right for you in this blog post. Please note that my sleep training methods do involve some crying.
How long will sleep training take?
I recommend blocking out three days where you can stay home 100% of the time, and two full weeks where sleep can be your number one priority. From there it is important to remember that each sleep training method will vary in how quickly you will see results. No checks is the fastest method, improving nighttime sleep within 1-3 nights. The Check and Console Method will take 4-7 nights to see nighttime sleep improve, and the Chair Method will vary greatly depending on how quickly you make changes. Please also note that these estimates are for nighttime sleep. Day time naps can easily take the full two weeks to iron out and sometimes up to a month if your child is transitioning down to less naps or working to lengthen naps. What if it doesn't work?
If you follow the plan with consistency and are not seeing improvement in the time outlined for your chosen sleep training method then it is likely there is somethng else going on for your child to prevent good sleep. At that point, I would encourage you to schedule a 60 minute consultation, that includes an in-depth intake form to assess for any underlying issues. This consultation will be discounted by the price you paid for your sleep plan. Normally the consultation is $120. In this case you will send me an email (email@example.com) including a screen shot of your receipt, your sleep tracker, and a brief discription of how consistent you have been in following the plan, along with your sleep tracker, and how your child is responding, and I will email you an invoice and a link to schedule your consultation. Each sleep plan has a unique time frame to receive this discount because each plan is uniquely time senstive. You can find this unique time frame in the description of each plan.
What is your return policy?
Unfortunately sleep training plans cannot be returned. But I understand that life happens and because these plans are time senstive I want to be as flexible as I can! If you have bought a plan and you were unable to use it in the time frame necessary to be applicable to your child, just shoot me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) including a screen shot of your receipt, a little bit about why you were unable to use this sleep plan, as well as which sleep plan you would like to exchange it for and then I will see if you qualify to be sent a new sleep plan for an older age.
Is Cry It Out the only sleep training option?
Absolutely not! It's also important to note that on my site I don't use the term Cry It Out instead I like to stick with the No Checks Method. Rest assured that I would never lock a child in a room to just cry it out! We are meeting our child's needs, establish a healthy sleep routine to communicate when it is time to sleep and clear expectations and boundaries around sleep and then using your method of choice to be consistent and make change happen. I will say that all of my plans involve some crying, but the amount of parent involvement in the process is completely up to you. If you are worried about crying while sleep training I recoomend learning more about what I believe here, and if that resonates with you my plans will likely be a good fit for you!
Should I pick a plan based on adjusted age or birth age?
All of the plans are made to work with adjusted age. Adjusted age is the age of any baby born before 39 weeks of age. For these babies, we would calculate their adjusted age by counting from their due date rather than their birth date.
Is there a way to get more support with these guides?
Yes! Getting one on one support while sleep training is one of the parts of working with me that my clients enjoy the most. Once you purcahse and receive your plan there are links embedded in your plan where you can purchase a 30 min call ($70) which can be helpful to answer any questions before you begin or trouble shoot a special circumstance. a 60minute consultation is $140 and the time can be split up between multiple calls. You can also purchase unlmiited text support for three days ($120), one week ($185), or two weeks ($250). Over and over again my clients have told me how valuable two weeks of text support truly is. It is easily the most poopular follow up support purchased. You will have someone to be accountable to through the entire process, answer any questions about implementing the sleep plan, troubleshoot through any concerns, and provide reassurance when things get tough.
What makes these sleep training guides unique?
These sleep training guides will take the guesswork out of sleep training. Other sleep training guides offer guidelines for multiple ages and mutliple methods in one document. My sleep training plans are designed for a specific age and your chosen sleep training method. You no longer have to estimate, guess, and decipher what to do for your child.
